WA Day Operating Hours

Many of the City of Canning’s services will have different operating hours on the WA Day public holiday on Monday, 2 June 2025.

Civic and Administration Centre

The City of Canning Civic and Administration Building will be closed for WA Day on Monday, 2 June 2025 and will reopen at 8.15am, Tuesday 3 June 2025.

Waste Collection

Collection services for rubbish or recycling will be operating as normal.

Waste Transfer Station

The Ranford Road Resource Recovery and Waste Transfer Station will be open as normal on WA Day from 8am to 4.30pm (vehicle entry closes at 4.15pm).

Ranger and Community Safety Services

Our Ranger and Community Safety Services will continue to operate 24 hours a day.

Libraries

All libraries will be closed for WA Day on Monday, 2 June 2025 and will reopen on Tuesday, 3 June 2025.

Leisureplexes

The Cannington and Riverton Leisureplexes will be open on WA Day from 7am to 6pm.

Swimming lessons will not run. Both creches and the Play Centre will be closed.

Whaleback Golf Course

Whaleback Golf Course will be open on WA Day. The course will be open from 6.30am to 8pm.

The Driving Range will be open from 6.30am to 8pm. Last bucket is at 6.45pm.
