King's Birthday Opening Hours

Many of the City of Canning’s services will have different operating hours on the King’s Birthday public holiday on Monday, 29 September 2025.

Civic and Administration Centre

The City of Canning Civic and Administration Building will be closed for the King’s Birthday public holiday on Monday, 29 September 2025 and will reopen on Tuesday, 30 September 2025.

Waste Collection

Collection services for rubbish or recycling will be operating as normal.

Waste Transfer Station

The Ranford Road Resource Recovery and Waste Transfer Station will be open as normal on the King's Birthday public holiday from 8am – 4.30pm (vehicle entry closes at 4.15pm).

Ranger and Community Safety Services

Our Ranger and Community Safety Services will continue to operate 24 hours a day.

Leisureplexes

The Cannington and Riverton Leisureplexes will be open on Monday 29 September 2025 from 7am to 6pm.

Modified fitness timetable. Swimming lessons will not run. Both creches will be closed.

Whaleback Golf Course

Whaleback Golf Course will be open on Monday 29 September 2025. The course will be open from 6.30am to 8pm. The Driving Range will be open from 7am to 8pm. Last bucket is at 6.45pm. Public holiday rates apply.
