Report syringes found in public places, including footpaths, roads and bus stops.
Urgent requests
Syringes on public land are considered urgent. Please report it to the City by calling 1300 422 664. You can call this number 24-hours a day. This will allow an Officer to respond with the highest priority.
Residential properties
Residents are responsible for disposing of syringes found on the residents own premises.
Syringes can be disposed of in the residents general waste bin, provided the needle is placed in a rigid-walled, puncture resistant plastic container with a well secured lid.
For residents who have certified sharps containers for the disposal of needles, the certified sharps containers can be placed in their general waste bin.
