Ern Clark Athletics Centre

Ern Clark Athletics Centre is an International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) class 2 certified major athletics facility.

With a world-class eight-lane 400 metre Mondo synthetic track as used in the Athens Olympics, the Ern Clark Athletics Centre is like no other. Located on Wharf Street Cannington, the centre features a 10-lane straight, long jump and triple jump pits, high jump fan, and a hammer and discus throwing cage.

There are modern change-rooms, separate public amenities, a kitchen, kiosk and office. A full-sized soccer pitch is available in winter only.

The Ern Clark Athletics Centre is available to hire throughout the year by arrangement with the Active Places team at the City of Canning. Day and evening hire is available. Unfortunately, Ern Clark Athletics track is not available for individual athlete training.

The following organised groups can hire the facility for a fee:

• Athletic and Little Athletics Clubs
• other athletic or sporting organisations
• primary or secondary schools.

Special conditions

Ern Clark Athletics Centre is a multi-million dollar facility and should you wish to use the venue, there are some special conditions we impose. These apply to the spikes that are used on the track and we ask that you always run forwards on the track. Vehicles must not cross the track under any circumstances.
