Riverton Leisureplex
Are your kids bored with traditional exercise? Why not try Kids Aerials!
In our unique Kids Aerials course’s your kids will learn techniques and skills to gracefully climb, wrap and twist while suspended in aerial silks. Your kids will have loads of fun learning the art of Aerial's while developing their strength, fitness and flexibility.
The Saturday Kids Aerial Hammock
The Saturday Kids Aerial Hammock class is designed for beginners aged 8-15, using a single silk hammock, and takes place every Saturday from 9.30am to 10.30am at Riverton Leisureplex in the F.I.I.T. Factory.

Kids Aerials Movement
Kids Aerials Movement introduces your child to the exciting world of aerial hoop, acrobatics, and groundwork. This fun and dynamic class builds strength, coordination, and confidence through creative movement and skill-based training.
Kids Aerials Movement is a 5-week course, running on Thursday from 21 August to 10 September. It is for 10 to 14 year olds.
Attention new mothers, do you have a bub aged 8 weeks to 18 months? Join us at Riverton Leisureplex for our Mums and Cubs class, which aims to kick start your postnatal journey.
The program allows mums with babies to connect with their new baby in a private studio. It enables them to rehabilitate safely postpartum and meet other mothers.
Mondays 10.30am – 11.30am at Riverton Leisureplex in Meeting Room 5.

Leisureplex Lions at Cannington Leisureplex
Get your children and teens active and build their confidence with Leisureplex Lions activities at Cannington Leisureplex.
Bookings are essential for all Leisureplex Lions activities. The Online Customer Portal allows you to view your child's enrolment history, update contact details and medical information, view any vouchers, and enrol and pay seamlessly.
Our sensational Kids Dance class is designed for kids to learn and develop their movement, rhythm and coordination in an exciting and energetic environment. Learn how to groove and shake with our amazing dance instructor Layla!
Kids Dance is for 6 to 12 year olds and runs on Mondays from 3.45pm to 4.45pm in the upstairs functions rooms.
Term 3 Kids Dance runs for 5 weeks from 18 August to 22 September 2025.
Our incredible Kids Krav Maga course is designed for kids to learn safe self-defence skills and movements while building confidence, discipline, and independence in this exciting and energetic class.
Learn how to strike, tumble and takedown with the amazing Black Belt Krav Maga instructor Hannah.
Kids Krav Maga is for 6 to 12 year olds and runs on Wednesdays from 3.45pm to 4.45pm in the upstairs functions rooms.
Term 3 Kids Krav Maga runs for 5 weeks from 18 August to 20 September 2025.
Get your children involved in game practice and expert coaching with Audrey Tuckey, winner of mixed doubles badminton gold medal at the 1986 Commonwealth Games.
All levels will be catered for with skills practise, drills, and match play. Racquets and shuttles provided.
Badminton runs for 9 – 10 weeks and there are 20 spots available for each session .Enrolment pricing is available on our Online Customer Portal, as the program’s prices and duration may vary.
Session times:
- Tuesday from 3.45pm to 5pm (8 to 17 years)
- Thursday from 3.45pm to 5pm (8 to 17 years)
- Friday from 3.45pm to 4:30pm (5 to 8 years)
- Friday from 4.30pm to 5.45pm (9 to 17 years) – this class teaches advanced skills and is not suitable for beginners.
Term 3 Badminton runs from 22 July and finishes 23 September 2025.
Pass, shoot and dribble your way through this dynamic session with our accredited coaches. Our program encourages children to challenge themselves through planned activities and interactive teamwork. They will also get to put their skills into action through game play.

Our fun gymnastics program focuses on building confidence, strength, and flexibility. Children will work closely with our coaches and their peers to develop their skills on all the major artistic gymnastic apparatus including the beam, bars, vault, floor, and trampoline. It is suitable for children of all abilities.

- Tuesday from 4pm to 5pm (4 to 7 years)
- Tuesday from 5pm to 6pm (8 to 12 years)

Term 3 Gymnastics runs from 22 July and finishes 27 September 2025.
Introducing our new Home-school Sports Program here at Cannington Leisureplex! This program is designed to provide home-schooling families the opportunity to participate in sports and exercise during traditional school hours.
This upcoming term we are running Multisports which will cover sports like basketball, soccer, volleyball and carnival style games.
Session times:
- Mondays from 1:30 – 2:30pm (4 to 7 years)
- Mondays from 2:30 – 3:20pm (8 to 16 years)
This Home-school Sports Program runs in our Cannington Leisureplex Indoor Sports Courts. There are 20 spots available per session. Enrolment pricing is available on our Online Customer Portal, as the program’s prices and duration may vary.
Term 3 Home-school Sports runs from 21 July and finishes 22 September 2025.
Develop soccer skills in a fun, fast paced, non-competitive session. We focus on teamwork and the fundamentals of soccer, including dribbling, a variety of different kicks, positions, basic match rules and game play. Children are encouraged to challenge themselves while enjoying a positive introduction to the sport.
Indoor soccer runs for 10 weeks run. It is $102.50 per child for the entire 10-week term.

- Wednesday from 3.45pm to 4.30pm (5 to 8 years)
- Wednesday from 4.30pm to 5.15pm (9 to 12 years)
Term 3 Indoor Soccer runs from 23 July and finishes 24 September 2025.
Parents get to work one-on-one with their child in our exciting Kindy Gym classes. Kids will learn basic gymnastic skills including tumbling, handstands, cartwheels, poses, and jumps. Each session begins with a dance warm-up followed by a gymnastics-based obstacle course. Let your child explore their physical and social abilities in this class.
Kindy Gym is run on the Sports Courts at Cannington Leisureplex. It is suitable for walking babies up to 4-year-olds.
- Monday and Thursday from 9.30am to 10.15am
- $7.00 per session or 10 visit multi pass for $70
Kindy Gym is a casual entry class – you can come on the day and purchase an admission from the front reception to be presented to the coach. No term enrolments or bookings necessary
Kindy Gym will run throughout the school term and most school holidays, with the exception of public holidays.

Children's Fitness classes run as a term-based schedule and align with school term dates. Most programs run for 10 weeks and enrolments must be made in advance and for the entire term.
Enrolments to our fitness courses can be made online through our One Booking portal. Alternatively enrolments can be processed over the phone on 6350 7301, or in person at front reception with the assistance of our friendly staff.
Enrolments can be made anytime during the term pending availability; availability for each program will show in our one booking portal. All Aerial based programs will not take on enrolments from week 2 of each program duration till the end of term.
The following term enrolments go live approximately 1 month before term commencement.

Total term cost is dependent on cost per class times total number of scheduled sessions. All costs are outlined in our Canning Fees and Charges. Prices are subject to change. Fees and charges are reviewed annually.
By simply logging into our Online Customer Portal, where you can view your child's enrolment details including:
- lesson day and time
- teacher name
- class location
The Online Customer Portal allows you to:
- View enrolment details or 1 or multiple children
- Update contact details and medical information
- View any vouchers and expiry dates
- Enrol and pay seamlessly
If your child misses a lesson:
- In the first absence, if you provide prior written notification via email, you will receive a full credit on your account for the missed lesson.
- All subsequent absences within the term will require a medical certificate if you wish to receive credit.
- Medical certificates must specify the dates of your lesson that you have missed.
- Leisureplex has a 48-hour cooling off period. Customers may cancel lessons within 48 hours of purchase and will receive a full refund or credit on their account.
- Refunds may take up to eight weeks to process. Credits are issued with a 6 month expiry date. The 48 hour cooling off period commences on the day and time you make payment for your enrolment. A request for cancellation must be in writing to fitness@canning.wa.gov.au.
- Customers requesting to cancel their enrolment after the cooling off period has lapsed but are within seven days of the start date of their enrolment commencing, may cancel their lessons and will receive a full credit on their account to be used towards other Leisureplex services.
- Credits will expire after 6 months. If a refund is preferred instead of a credit, an application will be made to council, there will be a $30 admin fee and may take up to 8 weeks to process. Request for cancellation must be in writing to fitness@canning.wa.gov.au.
- No cancellations can be made with less than seven days to the start of the program or during the program and fees will be forfeited. Refunds can only be made in extenuating circumstances and are at the manager’s discretion and may incur an administration fee and take up to 8 weeks to process.
