Throughout the year, the City of Canning holds approximately 20 community friendly events from its annual Major City Events Calendar.

The City has a diverse annual calendar of arts, cultural and family-friendly events which can be found on our Major City Events page. Most of these events offer artists, entertainers, community organisations, food trucks, food vendors and stall holders opportunities to get involved.

We invite you to participate in these events and help us to continue to shape Canning into the richly diverse, inclusive, welcoming and thriving City, it is.

Expressions of interest

We are always on the lookout for new stage and roving performers, activations, stall holders and food truck/vendors and volunteers. If you wish to participate, don't be shy and fill in an online expression of interest form with your details using the buttons below. This will form part of our database, which we regularly review for our events.

We are also looking for two Event Sponsors for our two Destination Events for the 2023/2024 Event Season – the Muddy Hands Festival and New Year's Day Concert & Fireworks. Both of these events offer great exposure for local or Perth-based businesses and organisations.

Important information for food trucks / vendors

Once invited to attend one of the City of Canning's Major Events, there are several tasks specifically for Food Trucks/Vendors that need to be completed before fully securing their spot at the event:

1. Pay the relevant site fee for the event.
2. Complete an Expression of Interest.
3. Agree to use reusable serve ware supplied by a Go2Cup (a reusable serve ware provider). This is a FREE service which you will not be charged for.

Event site fees (food trucks / vendors, and stall holders ONLY)

The City of Canning will be introducing a new site fee structure for food truck/vendors and stall holders participating in our events for the 2023-2024 FY Event Season. The only exception to this fee structure will be our Mid Week Eats Event Series and New Years Day Concert and Fireworks event which both operate under different structures due to their size.

Once your Expression of Interest (EOI) is received, your information will be entered into our event season database. The City will then get back to you and let you know what potential opportunities might be available and/or invite you to attend or Sponsor an event.
