Development Assessment Panel

Development Assessment Panels (DAPs) are independent decision-making bodies mandated to determine specific development applications. This includes but is not limited to ‘opt-in’ applications for grouped or multiple dwellings with a value of $2 million or more.

Each DAP acts in place of the Local Government Authority and/or Western Australian Planning Commission. The City falls under the jurisdiction of the Metropolitan-Inner Development Assessment Panel.

DAP Applications

In certain circumstances, a proposal may require a review by the City’s Design Review Panel, as per City Policy LP.06 - Design Review Panel and Assessment of Significant Developments. Applicants are encouraged to discuss their proposal with the City before lodging their DAP application.
