City of Canning Local Government Property and Public Places Amendment Local Law 2025

On the 16 December 2025, the City of Canning Council resolved to make the Local Government Property and Public Places Amendment Local Law.

The purpose of the City of Canning Local Government Property and Public Places Amendment Local Law 2025 is to make amendments to the City of Canning Local Government Property and Public Places Local Law 2021.

The effect of the City of Canning Local Government Property and Public Places Amendment Local Law 2025 is to amend the City of Canning Local Government Property and Public Places Local Law 2021 to amend the modified penalty for the offence of damaging, destroying or removing a tree or street tree which is on a public place.

The Amendment Local Law was gazetted on the 13 February 2026 and comes into operation on the 27 February 2026.

A copy of the law may be inspected at or obtained from the City’s Administration Centre, 1317 Albany Highway, Cannington 6107 between the hours of 8:15am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
