Canning Access and Inclusion Advisory Group

The Canning Access and Inclusion Advisory Group (CAIAG) advises the City on matters related to access and inclusion.

The CAIAG provides City Officers with a reference point for eliciting the views of community members who experience barriers to access and inclusion on a range of issues and topics. The group supports the development, implementation, review and evaluation of various strategies, plans, services and other initiatives. It is also a key source of advice in ensuring that equity related to disability, access and inclusion is upheld.

The group:

  • represent community views on access and inclusion matters brought before the Group by City Officers
  • raise challenges and opportunities which relate to access and inclusion in the Canning community
  • achieve the best possible range of diverse lived experiences related to access and inclusion to ensure these are presented to City Officers during planning and decision making.
