50/50 Equipment Grant

The 50/50 Equipment grant aims to support the purchase of equipment and fixtures with a life expectancy of greater than 3 years.

Priority will be given to equipment and fixtures which make a significant difference to activities / programs provided within the City. This grant must be matched by an equal cash contribution.

Information for applicants

• The maximum grant available is $5,000.
• The grant has two funding rounds:
  • Round One: Closes 3 August 2026
  • Round Two: Closes 2 March 2027
• Matching cash contribution required (i.e. if your item costs $5,000, the max grant available is $2,500).
• Applicants will be notified approximately six weeks after the closing date. Please ensure your activity timeline takes this into account.
• Applicants are eligible to receive one grant, per grant category, per financial year.

Applicants should demonstrate how the equipment will meet one or more of the following areas:

• encourage increased participation
• maintain participation levels where sporting and community trends demonstrate decline
• support new initiatives
• improve safety for members
• increase usage of the facilities
• improve efficiency of the running of community and sporting organisations.
