The Ferndale Reserve change rooms and amenities are getting an upgrade.
Located at the intersection of Blancoa and Metcalfe Roads, Ferndale Reserve currently features three full-sized senior ovals, a club room, change rooms and a Scout / Guide hall.
It is home to three active sporting clubs and supports multiple sporting codes throughout the year.
To meet the evolving needs of the community and ensure the facility remains inclusive, safe, and fit-for-purpose, the project will deliver new infrastructure. Key elements of the project include:
- Construction of new gender-neutral change rooms, ensuring safe and inclusive facilities for all users.
- Social hall with amenities, including new amenities to better support club functions and community events.
- New storage areas to accommodate growing participation and equipment needs.
- Accessibility provisions throughout the facility, ensuring compliance with current standards and equitable access for all.
- Improved viewing access to all three playing fields to enhance the spectator experience and support community engagement.
This investment will future proof the site, promote gender equity, and strengthen community participation in sport and recreation.
